Braves 2 College (B@C) will host a county-wide candidate forum on Monday, April 9, at 6:00 p.m. at Union County High School.
Invitations have been mailed to all candidates to participate in this event which will be open to the public.
Braves 2 College president Steve Arnett stated this week that “since there are so many candidates running for office this year, we wanted to offer a forum before the May primaries so that voters in Union County will have a chance to learn more about each of the candidates.”
The forum will provide three minutes to each of the candidates to share information about themselves and their platform.
If time allows, questions compiled from the board will be asked.
An informational booklet with biographies of the candidates will be provided for attendees of the forum.
Following the forum, a reception hosted by United Community Bank will be held in the high school lobby.
B@C has been established as a 501c3 endowment to create scholarships for UCHS students who maintain a 2.5 GPA, 95 percent attendance rate and have no major disciplinary level 3 or 4 infractions. The first class of B2C students are freshmen in college this year.,
Donations to B2C will be accepted at this event.
