UC Fair Opens Monday
The 76th Union County Fair opens Monday night, June 15, with a full week of activities for all ages planned. The gates will open at 4:30 each afternoon, and each day features live music by local artists as well as midway games and rides Tuesday through Saturday. The food court will open at 5:00 each day serving a variety of foods including corn dogs, funnel cakes, sandwiches, and lemon shakeups.
On Monday, June 15, entry to the fair is free. The featured evening event will be the baby contest which begins at 5:30 in the arena. At 6:00 the rabbit and poultry show will be held in the floral hall and from 6:30 to 9:30 fairgoers can enjoy live music at the pavilion stage.
The always popular Little Miss and Mr. pageant will begin at 5:30 on Tuesday in the arena. After the crowning of the 2026 Little Miss and Mr., the 2026 Miss Union County Fair will be crowned in aa 7:00 p.m. pageant. The night will also feature moto cross which will begin on the track at 7:00 p.m. Live music will also be played form 6:30 to 9:30. Rides and game booths will be open.
Wednesday includes the Miss Pre- Teen Pageant at 5:30, followed by the Miss Teen Pageant at 7:00 p.m. Both pageants will be held in the arena. That same night, an ATV rodeo will be featured at the track starting at 6:30 p.m., and Jeremiah Slaton and the Morganfield Baptist Church praise band will provide live music on the pavilion stage.
Thursday is a big night for the children with the pedal tractor pull slated for 6:00 p.m. and the dirt drags set to start at 7:00 p.m.
Friday’s featured events include a tractor pull starting at 6:30 with a fun rodeo starting in the arena at 7:00.
Saturday, June 20, is a full day of events with the country ham breakfast, beginning at 8:00, the livestock shows starting at 9:00 for FFA/4-H children to show their hogs, heifers, steers, market lambs and goats, and Sunshine Day starting at noon. Farm Bureau Day is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. and the demolition derby slated for a 7:00 p.m. start. For those who prefer arena events, the Wippoorwill Rodeo will begin at 7:00 p.m. to provide lots of action for fair goers. Live music on Saturday night will be provided by Andrea Rich.
Fair admission is $5.00 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday which includes admission to all events. A ride stamp is $15. Friday and Saturday, admission is $20 and includes rides. Pit passes and inside parking are an extra charge.
This year’s fair will also feature a half pot with tickets being sold all week by Junior Fair Board members.
